r.24 Basic Lifeguard Certification Test-Out

Description

After successfully participating in a LGI/LGIT Recertification or LGI Course, participants have the option of earning their basic Lifeguarding certification by way of test out.

Requirements:
Complete the Lifeguard Course prerequisites:
1. Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence (150 yards breaststroke and/or front crawl, 2 minutes of legs-only treading water, and 50 yards of breaststroke and/or front crawl)
2. Retrieve a 10-lb dive weight from 7-10 ft deep, surface and swim 20 yds with the weight, using legs only and exit the pool without using a ladder within 100 seconds

Successfully pass 2 Final Skills Assessments.

Successfully pass the Lifeguarding written test.
